Do you know that your ‘inner glow’ is reflected to the outside world through your smile?

And in the ‘energy’ world we know that the authentic smile is connected to the OPEN HEART. When you share that with people it FEELS GOOD to them, and they want more.

No matter what your practice or product offerings are ~ your smile, from that authentic place of joy, love, and service, will draw people to you like a magnet! This is a natural “marketing tool” that you have – that you may have not thought of! Your heart energy delivered through your smile.

Some folks feel shy about smiling, even if they can access joy in their heart – and it can often be because of how they feel about their teeth. The few people that have shared this with me have also said they don’t want to put ‘chemicals’ in their mouth to whiten their teeth.

Now, I’m not a dentist (but I am a nut when it comes to my dental care – and I have the BEST Holistic Dentist in the country!), but I can share with you a few recommendations on how to whiten your teeth at home naturally.

This is an article that I wrote years ago – there are GREAT suggestions! Especially the one about strawberries!

Enjoy, and Keep Smiling!

Whiten Teeth Naturally at Home

Did you ever watch your white kitchen cups  turn a brownish color even after washing them?

Coffees, teas, highly pigmented foods do  this to your cups, and also your teeth.

Common stains from food attach to plaque and  tartar buildup on the teeth.

Foods that stain your teeth are:

–Soy sauce
–Berries
–Curry
–Coffee
–Red wine
–Dark soda
–Dark fruit juice
–Tea

Temperature changes cause teeth to expand and contract, allowing stains to penetrate teeth.

If you want to stay away from commercial teeth  whitening products that use primarily Carbamide peroxide (known to be safe but some say lead to  free radical damage), listed here are some easy natural things you can do at home:

–Keep your mouth clean; it cuts down on stain build up. If you  can’t brush after every meal, make sure you rinse food out of  your mouth after you eat.

–Strawberries whiten teeth! Rub one on your teeth every day – or  mash and apply with your toothbrush (rinse mouth afterwards)

–Brush your teeth with a paste of baking powder and water

–Rub the inside of an orange peel on the teeth

–Brush your teeth with a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide  (rinse afterwards, don’t swallow)

–Mix these ingredients and brush on teeth: 1 tsp baking soda, dash  of salt, then add a few drops of white vinegar, which will foam

–Burn a piece of toast, then scrape off the black layer of the toast  (it is charcoal) and mix that with your toothpaste. Brush your teeth  with this at night before you go to bed

–Brush with mustard oil and salt

–Make a paste of ground, dried bay leaves and dried orange peels  (you may need to add some water). Use this as a whitener in between brushing teeth

–Equal parts of lemon juice and salt – brush on as whitener

–Brush your teeth with apple cider vinegar

–Use an electric toothbrush. Studies show an electric toothbrush can remove 98.2 percent of plaque

–Great plaque dissolvers are anti-bacterial mouthwashes. Many have  alcohols that aren’t all that healthy. The best natural mouthwash is Thieves® Fresh Essence Plus Mouthwash from Young Living.
It has essential oils such as peppermint, lemon, cinnamon, rosemary, eucalyptus,  melissa leaf water, vitamin E……………learn more about Thieves mouth care products ( I LOVE the toothpaste!): http://www.marileesfavoriteoils.com
